The Ambani family currently has one of the most expensive garages in India. Home of India’s richest family, the Antila is home to numerous exotic species including high-end SUVs, sports cars, supercars, electric cars, and so on. Just like Reliance Industries, it was Dhirubhai Ambani who started building the exemplary garage. Dhirubhai Ambani was also enthusiastic about cars. One of Dhirubhai Ambani’s favorite cars is the BMW E38 750i XL L7. The vehicle is as long as the model name and was discovered just a few days ago with Mukesh Ambani’s Z Plus security.
Why is it special? Well, because 899 copies of this model have ever been made in the world. It’s a rare car, not just in India but all over the world. It is the only example of the BMW E38 750i XL L7 in India. BMW made this model specifically for the Southeast Asian, European and Middle Eastern markets. Since it has not been sold anywhere else in the world, it is extremely rare and exotic.

The XL in the name is an explanation for the length of the car. It’s pretty long. The video shows how the car lives up to its name. The pictures of the car are from 2015, but the video shows the vehicle in its latest form. It also shows the overall condition of the vehicle. It appears to have been recently restored and looks like it is in pristine condition.
While it is not clear who is driving the vehicle, only one Ambani family member will travel with the security cars. So it seems like someone in the family had a nostalgic moment with the BMW. It is entirely possible that someone is sitting in the back of the car.
BMW E38 750i XL L7
BMW manufactured the L7 variant in 1997. It was sold in the limited markets until 2001. A total of 899 units were made, which makes them quite rare in the world. The models were based on the top equipment. BMW has lengthened the length of the car by around 25 cm compared to the luxurious “iL” versions of the model. It measured 5.37 meters which is massive. The current BMW 7 Series is around 5.23 meters long.
The car came with a long list of features. These include power rear seats, rear footrests, fold-down rear shelves, personal rear windows, a refrigerator, TV screen and fax machine. The car was also equipped with an optional “privacy window” glass partition that enabled passengers to isolate the cabin while en route.
The BMW E38 750i XL L7 was equipped with a powerful engine option. A massive 5.4-liter V12 petrol engine powers the vehicle under the bonnet. It generates a massive 322 hp and 490 Nm of peak torque. The car can reach 0-100 km / h in just 7 seconds, but the top speed is limited to 250 km / h for safety reasons. It’s a rear-wheel drive car and the long wheelbase makes it an extremely fun car. However, most owners preferred to stay in the back of the vehicle.
Dhirubhai Ambani also owned several other luxury sedans, including a Cadillac Fleetwood that remains parked in the Ambani family’s new home. There were many other cars that were used by the founder of Reliance Industries, and many of them are parked on the Antila alongside many other exotic vehicles.
