Former Mayor Bill de Blasio announced in early August that all newly hired city workers must be vaccinated against the coronavirus.
According to the DCAS, from August 2, 2021, all new hires must be vaccinated against the coronavirus, unless they have been given reasonable accommodation due to religion or disability. If you are offered employment in the city, that requirement must be met by the date of recruitment, unless reasonable provision for an exemption has been made and approved by the hiring agency.
From March 1, 2021, all notifications entitled to review and participate will be sent exclusively by email; You will no longer receive notifications via US mail.
On Staten Island, the test center is located at 135 Canal St., Stapleton. Additional test centers are located at: 2 Lafayette St., Manhattan; 210 Joralemon Street, Brooklyn; 118-35 Queens Blvd., Queens; 1932 Arthur Avenue, Bronx.
According to the DCAS, after an examination has been carried out, it usually takes nine to twelve months before a suitable list of passers-by is drawn up, from which agencies can employ.
In addition, the suitability lists for the examinations for police officers, police communication technicians, traffic police officers and school safety officers, which are to end between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021, will also be extended by one year.
